2006 STAR ISLAND RETREATMorning Fog, Star Island
Photographer: Bill Bogle, Jr. About this image: On our first morning the fog rolled in and gave the Island a wonderful blanket of light. The steps to the Oceanic Hotel and path to the Gazebo dissolve as the background disappear. You can barely make out the shoreline or the water and the pier. The flagpole is barely visible in the fog. I enjoy the lines and the composition, and the way the steps and path lead the viewer out of the frame and into the fog. Fog can be difficult to meter and expose, and this image balances the same.
