RECENT EVENTS

Jan 16 - Feb 13, 2010 - The Annual NHSPA Membership Exhibition was held at the Exeter Town Hall art gallery.

November 21, 2009 - The fall meeting of the NHSPA was held at the Amherst Street Gallery of the New Hampshire Institute of Art. Members and guests enjoyed the opportunity to view "In the Blood, Cape Breton: a Visual Diary" by NHSPA member Gary Samson.

After the viewing at the NHIA gallery, a luncheon was served at the Currier Museum of Art, followed by a docent tour of "Brett Weston: Out of the Shadow," the first major Brett Weston exhibit in 30 years.

September 17-20, 2009 - 12th Annual NHSPA Star Island Photo Retreat.

August 8-15, 2009 - 3rd Annual Star Island Digital Photography Workshop.

June 7, 2009 - The NHSPA Annual Meeting was held at the Fuller Building, New Hampshire Institute of Art at 1 o'clock PM.

The program was presented by NHSPA member Gary Samson, who showed images from his recent sabbatical on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. A short business meeting followed the program.

April 11, 2009 - Sean Kernan, a commercial photographer from Connecticut, conducted a one day hands-on seminar in Portsmouth on "creativity." The program began and ended with photography, and addressed questions of what makes work good, how it connects to our lives, and why we need to "forget what we know" from time to time.

Jan 17 - Feb 14, 2009 - The Annual NHSPA membership exhibition was held at the Exeter Town Hall art gallery. Visit the 2009 Exhibition Gallery...

November 16, 2008 - The fall meeting of the NHSPA was held at the Fuller Hall building of the New Hampshire Institute of Art. Dover portrait photographer and Shutterbug magazine columnist Steve Bedell was the guest speaker.

August 9, 2008 - Stephen Johnson, one of America's leading landscape photographers and a pioneer digital photographer, conducted a seminar on "Aesthetics and High-end Digital Photography" and "Down to Earth Color Management."
