The Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Massachusetts was the first "landscaped" cemetery in the country. Dating from the early 1800s, it is today a lovely oasis of calm and serenity. The Washington Tower, in the center of the cemetery, provided this illusion of walking down into a dungeon. Actually, the camera is pointed straight up!
