Finding a way of combining older photographic techniques with the new technologies of today was the inspiration for these images. The original color photographs were created with 35 mm slide film. Using a DayLab Slide Printer, I exposed the slides onto Polaroid sheet film and then used image transfer techniques to create original artwork on watercolor papers. I then scanned the "Image Transfers" in a flat bed scanner and used PhotoShop to make the enlargements on archival papers.

Christy Utter is a 2005 graduate of the NH Institute of Art's Certificate in Photography Program and is a recipient of the Harvey Dodd Scholarship Award. Her photographic images have been exhibited in the annual NHSPA Members' Exhibition in Exeter, NH for the past 7 years. She has also exhibited her work in the annual NH Art Association's juried photography exhibit at the Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery in Portsmouth, NH.
